For safe cartridge bottom bracket (BB) removal the BB socket can be carefully attached to the BB spindle using a fine threaded bolt and nut. This prevents the socket and spanner flying off when under pressure.

Due to the damaged piston contaminates were able to get into the hydraulic brake fluid. The fluid in the funnel should be pink. The fluid had to be completely flush through the system.
